Mike Curtis is an Exchange Officer for Zions Exchange Services, LLC (a subsidiary of Zions Bank®), which acts as a Qualified Intermediary executing 1031 Exchanges for clients. He leads the development of operational procedures for the company, consults with clients in understanding the process of a 1031 Exchange, and assists clients to complete those transactions in compliance with the regulations through documentation and interaction with banking, real estate, tax and closing professionals.

Prior to his current position, he worked for First American Exchange Company, LLC (a subsidiary of First American Tile Insurance Company) facilitating 1031 Exchanges for three and a half years. There, he started as an Exchange Assistant, and was promoted to Exchange Coordinator, then to Exchange Officer, then as a Team Leader. While there, he helped First American Exchange in the development of Expresso, a customer database/production/accounting system to help increase the work flow and productivity of First American Exchange company operations nationwide.

Mike was awarded the Certified Exchange Specialist® ("CES®" ) designation from the Federation of Exchange Accommodators, the indutry association of the Exchange industry, based on industry experience, and passing a knowledge based exam on industry regulation and practice. Mike is in the Bachelors degree in Accounting program at the University of Phoenix, with a 3.8 GPA.

Raised in Midvale, Utah, Mike attended Hillcrest High School, and now lives with his wife and son in Murray, Utah.
